Good morning, Family...
Just stopping by to say Happy Thanksgiving. For all of you exercise and diet diehards, go easy today. Do not derail all of your hard work. Don't gobble until you wobble. Eat a light breakfast. Forgo all those carbs like, waffles, pancakes, and toast. Go with the protein--eggs, cheese, and for all you meat eaters a couple of slices of bacon.
As you go about your day and start eating the appetizers prior to THE BIG DINNER, go first for the veggie tray, light soups, and my favorite stuffed mushrooms. Hold back on the crackers, breads, and heavy cheese dips. Save some room for the real food.
Now, it's time to sit down and FEAST with family and friends. Fill that plate with meat and veggies, then go for the mac and cheese, potato salad, sweet potato casserole, and rolls, etc. Do not deny yourself, but remember dessert is coming next! My favorite, apple pie and sweet potato pie warmed up with vanilla ice cream!!! Yup, that would make me happy.
Hey, THANKSGIVING feasting is one day. Enjoy! Giving THANKS should be EVERYDAY.
