Checking on your progress

Good evening!!!  I am just checking in on your progress.  Yes, I am being nosy, call it what you want.  First, let me confess.  I did not do my walk yesterday after work like I should have, BUT, I did get up this morning and put in 45 minutes before I went to work.  It was foggy out, so I had to alter my route, but I got it in and THAT is what is important.  I did a total of 11 miles of walking for my 5 days of cardio.  How you like me, now???  Come on Ladies, we are going to do this.  We need 5% of our weight lost by April 25th...

Another reason I need to stick with the cardio regimen is my "gut".  Never really had that thing called a 6-pack, but there was a time when my gut was, let's just say, not in the way...According to my research, crunches alone are not going to make that gut come up out of the rut.  You have to work that body to build some LEAN muscle ALL OVER.  Did you know that muscle burns more calories, even at rest.  That means more muscle helps to melt fat all over, including the belly...So, get that regular cardio exercise in.

Is everyone getting their 8 glasses of water down?  Remember water is the key to hydration.  We had some suggestions of adding lemon or cucumber slices, so I hope you are making it work for you.  If you are not a water drinker, it will be a change, but change is good, and eventually you will need to find what works for you and do it.

Food for thought:  We need to focus on our calorie intake.  We don't want to do all this cardio exercise and drinking of water and not see results, right???   First, go to the dollar store and pick up one of those little spiral notebooks.  Next we are going to see what we are 'puttin' down.  So, take one day this week and keep a food diary.  You will need to write down what you ate, how much you ate, and what time you ate it.  Do not include NON-caloric drinks... and Ladies, don't lie to yourself like I used to do (smile)... We will discuss this again, later.

     Keep your suggestions coming...Smooches
