Good evening...Food tracking allows us to be accountable for all that we eat. So, it is vital and important that you write everything down accurately...EVERYTIME you eat or are about to eat, you need to write down, what, how much, and you can even make note of how hungry you were before you ate the portion of food. You will find that you may not eat as much as you planned, if you are recording before intake. Also, when you look back at your day's intake of food, you will be able to dissect what was a good food portion and what you could have done without for the day. DO NOT log your day's intake after the fact or at the end of the day, it WILL NOT have the same effect.
For those with smartphones, there are many apps out there to try--Calorific, Loseit, Myfitness pal, My Netdiary, etc..---so let's get signed on and get started...Do not log non-caloric drinks, EXCEPT your 8 glasses of water...
You should know I have a motive for this food tracking thing. I am about to sign back up with Weight Watchers and food tracking is a part of their program. I signed up back in January, but serious emotional and personal issues came into play in February and it all went to pot. Watching what you eat is important any time you are trying to lose a few pounds whether it be Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, Subway lite menu, Salads at McDonalds, etc...Understand the best part is, if you get off track, acknowledge it and get back on AS SOON AS POSSIBLE...Smooches
