Good morning!!!  Remember our first conversation was in reference to getting up and moving around, getting at least 30 minutes of cardio exercise in 5 days a week.  How is that working for you?  Well, I am on day 6 and have done 4 of my 5 days, so you know what that means?  Yes, tomorrow I have to get that 5th day in, NO EXCUSES...

Since you will be working up a sweat with your cardio, remember to STAY HYDRATED.  That does not mean drinking an extra soda, juice, or wine.  That means WATER...Our bodies are made up of approximately 70% water and they do not replenish themselves when depleted.  So, do your best to get in at least--and I KNOW you have heard this before--8-8 oz. glasses of water in every day.  Once again, this does not include caffinated drinks or alcohol and we want to avoid the juices because they are full of sugar.  Sugar transforms into carbohydrates which transforms into more dang fat we need to get rid of .  I use the 16 oz. styrofoam cups at work.  Everytime I "filler up", I mark the cup, just so I know where I am in my count.
Karla suggests adding a squeeze of lemon in your glass.  She says it helps make the water taste more refreshing.  STOP!  TRY IT, before you say, "I don't like it"...

Food for Thought :  Today is St. Patrick's Day.  I don't think any of us is Irish, but honor the day and yourself by having an extra serving of green veggies today!!!

  1. I like putting sliced cucumber in my water. Michael McManus told me about it and ever since then I love it. It gives the water a refreshing taste. Try it and let me know what you think !!
