Good evening...Just stopping by to make a correction to yesterday's post. I mentioned that I wanted to lose 8 lbs by May 18th. That is a typo. That should be 5 lbs by May 18th. I am picking a realistic figure because I want to meet the goal. Challenges are coming people...I will discuss this tomorrow...Enjoy the rest of April...We are going for it in May!!!
My last post I spoke about keeping up with your health by making sure you get your appropriate medical checkups. Please make sure when you go to see your physician, you give them your WHOLE story--not bits and pieces. The doctor cannot help you, if you don't give them all of the tools that you are working with. What am I talking about? Well, when they ask if you smoke, if you do so, even if it is just a puff once a month, say yes. If you drink alcohol, even if it is only a glass on the weekend, say that you do. If you take ANY supplements--vitamins, GNC type supplements, herbal remedies, etc...--SAY SO. What many people do not understand, is that even though you may not take any medication that is PRESCRIBED by a doctor, those over-the-counter products--cigarettes (nicotine), alcohol, vitamins, supplements, herbs, effect the functions of your body and may have a major impact that you are not aware of.
Healthy checkups can be life-savers. Here is a clip from my friend's blog. http://youtu.be/PesUjgcNN50 He recently had a colonoscopy done. Because he had no history of cancer in his immediate family, he had is colonoscopy at the recommended age of 50 years old. If you have a family history of colon cancer you should really have this test done earlier in life. The recommendation in that case is 35 years old...Pass this message on...Smooches
