Just Checking In

Good afternoon...  How's everyone doing with their challenge?  I thought I would leave you alone for a few days, so that you could get your rythym, so I HOPE everyone is up and MOVING...Remember, you are still doing your regular cardio and exercises, but adding the challenge moves as well. This May CHALLENGE of the ARMS, is relatively simple, BUT you have to make up in your mind to JUST DO IT!!!  I missed one day of chair dips, but I know I can make that up, because with everyday, it is getting easier and THAT is the point.  By the end of May this challenge is supposed to go from HEADACHE to HABIT!!!  So, if you haven't started, let's go!!!  I am not waiting for you, I will be moving on.  Three sets of 10 of each, bicep curls, tricep curls and chair dips.  Check the April 29th post for directions.

Food for thought:  Here is a recipe for an Apple/Watercress/Blue Cheese Salad.  Yes, I hear some nay-sayer right now saying, "blue cheese is high in calories".  My response, "AND WHAT"?  It's better than those sour cream and onion chips you are inhaling!!!  Okay, let me reel myself back in..............
  • 2 green apples cut into slices
  • 4 tablespoons of vinigrette (home made or light-store variety)
  • 1 bunch of watercress or whatever lettuce you like
  • 1/2 red onion thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped chives
  • 4 oz. blue cheese
  • fresh ground black pepper (optional)
Place the apples in a bowl with 1 tablespoon of vinigrette.  Wash your watercress, drain, dry and break into small sprigs (throw away hard stems).  Add to the apples, along with onion, and chives.  Crumble the blue cheese on top of salad, then add the remaining vinigrette dressing on top.  Top with some fresh ground black pepper.  (This recipe was adopted from the Salad Perfection Cook-book.  Yes, I made some changes!!!)
Special shout-out to my Sister Karla!!!  She is down 10 lbs...Keep up the good work!SMOOCHES
