Rehab and Recovery!!!

Good morning, Fam...  How's life treating you?  I hope, all is well with you.  Well, I am trying to figure out how to manage life since the surgery on my foot.  Thursday, November 1st, was my last day of  cardio exercise.  I did Zumba until I was worn out.  November 2nd, I had surgery.  I am restricted to NO WEIGHT bearing on my right foot x 2 weeks, then limited physical therapy x 2 weeks, then possibly some lightweight exercise starting week six...  I am already going through withdrawals and STRESSING...  Why stress?  I am worried  that during my time of not being able to do cardio exercise, I will gain weight.  So, I am going to try to work this thing out and I already know it's not going to be easy...

I have already loaded my fridge with fruits and veggies.  But you know like I do, that means absolutely NOTHING, unless I actually prepare and eat them instead of the quick, fast, and tasty things like chips, cookies, ice cream, pizza, etc...   I will be throwing some new menus out to you as I try some new things.  I also have purchased some exercise bands and I have several types of hand weights, which once again, means nothing unless I use them regularly and appropriately.  I will have plenty of free time that will be wasted unless I make the plan and stick with it to insure that my goal of no weight gain and some regular exercise happens.  So here I go...

My plan is to do 2 sets of 3 various exercises 4 times a day...  I may be doing sit-ups, tricep/bicep curls, shoulder presses, stretching, whatever...  I can cram this in the 1st 4 hours of the day or spread it out during the day, but it has to be done.  I am going to keep a log. and I will let you know how everything is going from time to time.

Now, while I am working on keeping this weight off during my Rehab and Recovery, I hope you are keeping up with your healthy goals.  Remember, your GOAL does not have to mean a MAJOR OVERHAUL.   Make your GOAL something that is reasonably attainable.  Make your GOAL something that you have to work HARD to achieve, but know that if you DO NOT achieve it, it's not because it was an unnatural feat.   Let's GO!!!  SMOOCHES...
