Good afternoon, Family... Hopefully, you are all up and ready to get started to take on this new year. Are your resolutions made and goals set??? Well, this is it... It is January 1st, 2013. So, let's not PROCRASTINATE any longer.
If you are like me, you were slapped in the face last year with the REALITY that you are not living as healthy a life as you should be. There is something going on in your life that you need to get in check. The stress in your life, high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, obesity, various addictions, whatever, IT NEEDS TO BE PUT IN CHECK. Yes, there may be some things that you have NO control over, but TRUST, there IS something happening in YOUR life that you can take hold of, attack, and control.
I am, once again, on my healthy crusade. Why? Because at the end of the day, I have some issues that could be resolved IF I made a major effort to change my lifestyle and work on me. I was headed in the right direction up until about November of 2012. That is when I had surgery and simply let go of what I was doing because I couldn't work out. Well, I am not 100%, but for the most part I can start getting back into the groove. The Holidays are OVER, so I am back to my healthy eating. What about you? I am not up and ready for a 5k race, or 2 hours of Zumba, or 1 hour on the elliptical machine, but I am going to MAKE IT DO WHAT IT DO, BABY! (At least while I can).
If you want to take the journey with me, PLEASE, COME ALONG. Take the next few days to gather up what you need to start down a healthier road in your life. THROW AWAY THE JUNK FOOD!!! Yes, get rid of all the chips, cookies, cakes, sweet sodas, juices, WHATEVER your trigger food is...OUT IT MUST GO!!! Get your lunchboxes ready, purchase your plastic snack bags, load up on your FRESH fruits and veggies, buy your lean protein (meat). Get your protein powders, vitamins, water bottles and food/exercise journal ready. Find and sign up at a gym or for an exercise class. Prep your workout bag with some new workout gear--ladies don't forget the sports bra. Purchase an ice pack or keep your ice tray full (you know your joints are going to be aching just like mine). Most importantly, write down your goal, map out a plan, then plan to GO FOR IT... If you need some encouragement, contact me...I will give you what I have or direct you to someone who can help. Remember, I WILL NEED some encouragement, too. This will not be an easy journey. Why? Because we are talking about a lifestyle change. There will be some bumps in the road and some set backs, but as long as we are willing to jump back up and keep it moving, I BELIEVE we WILL be OKAY. I am shooting for 20 BIG ONES by April 1st...oh, yes, that would be April 1st, 2013. Come on, Ready, set, Let's Go!!! Smooches
